Discover / Wines / Serve - Cuvee Charlotte 2011

Grape harvest and winemaking:

Every year. This wine is made from grapes coming from the most valuable plots of land from the Dealu Mare Vineyard. There is no strict recipe, with the first Charlotte, dating back to 1999, being an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Black Fetească. It was created by Guy de POIX in 1999 for Charlotte, his eslest daughter. Its qualities will allow it to increase its expressiveness and complexity over time. This Charlotte was created after months of explorations, from wines which completed their secondary fermentation in oak casks, ,where they rested afterwards for 8-12 months before being carefully selected, in view of the assemblage, by our oenologist, Aurel ROTARESCU. Following a severe selection and countless tried variants. Cuvée Charlotte 2011 was bottled in October 2014, thus resulting a number of 46186 bottles of 75 cl, and 1244 bottles of 150 cl. We deem that this wine, the 12th edition of Cuvée Charlotte, will develop for at least another 10 years. A word of caution, therefore: preserve it carefully in cool cellard and take the opportunity to discover it gradually, as it “grows.” We are sure that it will surprise you pleasantly every time.
